Starring Phyllis Diller and Bob Denver
Bob's Take: Phyllis Diller is a funny lady, with one of the best laughs in the business.
In this movie I played an inventor who lives on a farm, and Phyllis played a traveling
saleslady who arrives in a small town in Missouri to sell player pianos to the locals. She's not a great saleslady, believe me, and her sales attempts nearly destroy the whole
town. She becomes friendly with a bumbling inventor (me) and moves in with his family. Trying to sell his automatic milking machine almost causes a stampede.
During one of our scenes, a cow pooped and Phyllis looked down and said, "I'll never
eat spinach souffle again." She was really great to work with, a laugh a minute!
