MAY 22, 2019
Always Free Honor Flight was sanctioned in the state of West Virginia beginning in 2011, and even though our program is on an open-ended hiatus at the moment, our AFHF team has considered it the privilege of a lifetime to provide this experience for hundreds of our WV vets over the years. Every trip to Washington, DC was unique and every veteran held in the highest regard by everyone involved.
I would like to recognize a very special woman on our team. Pam Coulbourne was Honor Flight's coordinator on every trip we made over the years. She was the nuts and bolts of our program, loved and respected by the veterans and staff alike. When she passed away unexpectedly, it was a huge blow to all of us. So, I just want to acknowledge her and thank her for her heart that loved this program and her attention to detail that guaranteed every trip was a thing of beauty, perfect in every way. We sure do miss you, Pam!

You’ll find veteran applications and guardian applications. Only veterans travel free, but we’ve kept the price for escorts low at 125 dollars, which includes all meals, AFHF t-shirts and, of course, transportation.
